Department of Homeland Security Jobs

Aug 28th, 2009

With the latest of many rounds of attention on homeland security it is important to recognize that the need for criminal justice jobs is rising at an exponential pace. We continue to invest in the security of the nation in order to respond to the public’s demand for more public safety (while trying to keep all of our indivudal privacy rights). In general, this presents many challenges not the least of which is finding qualified candidates to meet our homeland security demands. We have a shortange of police officers, security personnel, and even a shortage of people to serve in the military. In a partial response to that we are hoping to raise the awareness of the need for more trained criminalogists in the U.S. We are doing that by providing the names of some of the best online colleges with criminal justice degree programs. If you or anyone you know is looking for job security and a bright future, please recommend that they pursue a criminal justice career.

While the time constraints on all of us are not getting easier (the need to balance work, family, and financial responsibilities), it can be a challenge to find the time and resources to go back to college and obtain a criminal justice degree. Thankfully, there are several fantastic online colleges and universities that provide multiple quality degree programs. The following colleges are at the top of our criminal justice school list:

University of Phoenix
Kaplan University
Boston University
American InterContinental University Online
Colorado Technical University
Grantham University
Keiser College Online

Again, they all offer multiple criminal justice degrees and they provide you with the ability to get all of the classes completed online which allows for you to be able to fit school into your already hectic schedule. With so many jobs available to criminal justice graduates with the Department of Homeland Security, you really owe it to yourself to take a look.
